I Feel Like a Disappointment – Woman Cries out After 7 Years in Asia Without Achievements

A woman named Becky has opened up about feeling ashamed as she considers returning to Nigeria after spending seven years abroad without any significant achievements.  

Becky expressed deep disappointment in herself, saying she feels like a failure not only to herself but also to her late father and her mother. She admitted she doesn’t know how to begin rebuilding her life if she goes back home.  

She shared her struggles, including applying for a work visa that was ultimately denied, leaving her stranded and uncertain about her next steps.  

“Life abroad isn’t what people think it is,” Becky tearfully explained. “We watch Nollywood movies and believe that within a year of going abroad, people become successful and rich, but that’s not the reality. Life abroad is very hard for some of us.”
