I got Pregnant at the age of 13 and I faced a lot of criticism from people

Maddie, who became a mother at just 13 years old, has opened up about her experiences dealing with criticism and judgment as a young mom. 

Now 16, Maddie and her boyfriend, Isaac, are raising their 3-year-old daughter, Everly. 

In an interview with Truly, Maddie shared the harsh reality she faced during her pregnancy. She received negative comments, with some people even sending her details of abortion clinics when she was pregnant with her daughter. 

Maddie reflected on the hate, saying: “Everybody has something to say and they didn’t hold back I had people send me the d to abortion clinic when i was about 7 months pregnant In the gym class they would put balls in their t-shirts and be like I’m mad………. I’m a teen mom somebody even messaged me and said I hope you guys f*** in labor I took that and I shifted it i said this is the making in my life the hate makes me want to do better it made me want to show I’m going to be the best mom ever even though I’m young …….. I’m going to be the best mom they will ever see.” 

Isaac, who was 15 at the time Maddie got pregnant, admitted he was initially in denial. 

He added: “When maddie first found out that she was pregnant I was 15 turning 16 I thought it was all just a joke like it wasn’t real and then when she showed me the scan I felt scared i was really scared.”

When asked about claims he left Canada for Texas to avoid the situation, Isaac explained:  

“I was in texas like when you told me i was just shocked so i was like wow i talked to my mom obviously about it I told her that i wanted before anything and before like i got into everybody’s life let’s get paternity test before anything any actions steps forward basically Like i wasn’t there for 10months and maddie had most hate for me and it is correct and i messed up all there.”
