Vet doctor ends it all after rich clients refused to pay for their Pet care
A grieving mother, Tina Ellis, is mourning the tragic loss of her 35-year-old son, John Ellis, a veterinarian who took his own life after struggling with emotional distress in his profession.
According to The Mail, Tina revealed that John found it deeply upsetting when animals he treated couldn’t be saved and also when wealthy clients refused to pay for their pets’ treatments, despite showing up in expensive cars.
The tragedy unfolded on November 6, 2022. John, in a distressed state, reportedly tricked a nurse into giving him a lethal dose of euthanasia drugs, claiming it was for a friend’s large dog. He later used the drug on himself. Before his death, he told his partner of 12 years, Ashley James, that he was going to pick up a package from his former workplace. Later, he called James to confess he had done “something stupid” and expressed his love.
Later at the scene, Police found John unresponsive in a bathroom and rushed him to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours of November 7.
Tina shared that her son had always hidden his distress, as he was used to staying calm under pressure. John had worked as a vet for 17 years and dreamed of earning a good income while helping animals.
Mrs Ellis said her son once said: “When I’ve got somebody saying they won’t pay to help their animal, and they’re sitting there with a brand-new car outside, and other people who were really struggling financially would do anything to save their animals, but there was nothing they could do because it was already too late.”
She added: “People get the wrong idea of vets……..The higher-earning ones have been in the profession longer but started on low wage.
“John wanted to earn a good wage, but he’d worked 17 years to get where he was. Vets come in for a lot of bashing. They try really hard to save whatever pets get brought in.”
“It’s an absolute travesty that he’s been lost not only for us but for the veterinary world. He was so good at what he did. He was fun, he was funny, he was generous, he was kind. He was so clever, and we were so proud of him.
“What has come out is how supportive John was to so many different people. He was really encouraging to his younger brother and sister in their careers. He was an amazing brother to them. John would try to spend his own time with nurses in the practice and other young colleagues, trying to give them the confidence to succeed.
Paying tribute to john, his family said: “”He poured his heart into his work, and his absence leaves a deep void in the lives of all who had the privilege of working with him and knowing him personally. As a family, we are devastated by the loss of John, and we continue to grapple with the heartbreak and shock that come with the death of someone so young and full of potential…
“We want to take this opportunity to encourage anyone who may be struggling with mental health challenges to seek support and not suffer in silence. No one should feel that they are alone, and we urge everyone to reach out for help if they are in need.”

According to Jane, her husband was so serious about getting a divorce that he even hired a lawyer to handle the process. She added that he went as far as asking the lawyer for a discounted fee — prompting her to step in and offer to pay the full cost of the divorce herself.
In a humorous twist, Jane mentioned that whenever the lawyer sees them together now, he can’t help but laugh.

Rapper Papoose has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife, fellow rapper Remy Ma, amid accusations of infidelity.
In a series of Instagram Story posts, Papoose claimed he discovered that Remy was involved in a relationship with rapper Eazy. He also revealed that he confronted Eazy directly after learning about the alleged affair.

Two hikers made an incredible discovery while exploring the mountains of Krkonoše in northeastern Czech Republic.
According to a report from CNN, the pair came across an aluminum box during their hike. Curious, they opened it—and were stunned by what they found inside: ten gold bracelets, 17 gold cigar cases, a powder compact, a gold comb, and an astonishing 598 gold coins. Altogether, the treasure is estimated to be worth around $360,000 (roughly ₦571 million).

Rather than keeping the treasure, the hikers did the right thing. They took the box to the Museum of Eastern Bohemia in the nearby town of Hradec Králové, where experts examined the value of the coins.
“The finders came to our museum’s numismatist (coin expert) without a prior appointment. Only after that did archaeologists begin to deal with the find and set out to explore the site,” Novak the head of the archaeological department at the museum told CNN in an email.
“It is most likely related to the turbulent period before the start of World War II, when the Czech and Jewish population was leaving the border area, or to 1945, when the Germans were leaving,” Novak continued
Coin expert Vojtěch Brádle estimates that the recently discovered coin is worth around 8 million Czech Koruna, which is roughly $360,000.
Following the discovery, museum curator Novak said they’ve been receiving numerous calls from locals eager to learn more or help trace the coin’s origin.
In an email, Novak also highlighted how unusual it is to find something like this in the area.”About nine kilometers southeast, a hoard of 2,700 silver denarii (a type of European trade coin) from the 12th century was found ten years ago.” he wrote

A 19year old mother and her newborn baby have been taken to the hospital following the child’s birth.
According to a series of videos shared by Facebook user Chinenye Henrietta, the baby was born on May 22nd. Chinenye revealed that the teenage mother had kept her pregnancy a secret from everyone, including her own family.

She explained that the incident began when the girl went into labor while alone at home. During that time, she allegedly stabbed the newborn in the throat before placing the baby in a gutter.
Chinenye claimed the stabbing was intentional, while others believe it may have been a tragic accident. According to those accounts, the girl may have been trying to cut the umbilical cord but ended up injuring both her private area and the baby by mistake.

In a revelation, she also shared that she had experienced a miscarriage, a tragic moment made even more difficult by her ongoing health struggles.
Earlier this year, in January, Georgia posted a powerful update on Instagram, disclosing that her condition had deteriorated further. She revealed that cancer had spread throughout her body, resulting in blood clots in her lungs

But not one doctor fucking listened to me.

Not one doctor did the scans or blood tests I begged for whilst crying on the floor in agony.
Instead, they dismissed me. They gaslit me, told me it was nothing, made me feel like I was overreacting. They refused to scan me. They refused to investigate. They REFUSED to listen. One even told me that it’s “all in my head.”
And now? Now the cancer has spread.
And if that wasn’t enough, throughout this whole time there’s been BLOOD CLOTS all over my lungs. That ALONE could have killed me instantly.
They could have done something before it got to this stage. But they didn’t. Because this is the state of the NHS – a broken system that fails young people like me over and over again. A system that makes people suffer, that sends them home in agony, that lets cancer spread whilst the thick, stupid, mindless “doctors” shrug their shoulders.
They can say it’s terminal all they want.
They can tell me I’m going to die.

Her death comes just days after she announced on her Instagram page, on May 12th, that she had married her partner, Adriano.
The late veteran Nollywood actress, Nkechi Nweje, has been laid to rest in her hometown in Anambra State, weeks after her passing on March 21, 2025, following a battle with an undisclosed illness.

Brazilian teenage footballer Ezequias Júnior Vieira dos Santos has been tragically shot dead after reportedly confronting a man who was harassing his wife. The incident, which has shocked the local football community, occurred in Manaus, Brazil.

According to CCTV footage and reports from NeedtoKnow, the 19-year-old was involved in an altercation on a local sports court. The conflict began when Ezequias stood up to a man who was bothering his wife. The argument escalated, and the man reportedly left the scene, returned with a firearm, and shot Ezequias multiple times.
While he was being rushed to the hospital on May 21, two individuals on a motorcycle were seen following the car he was in. Shockingly, they opened fire again, fatally wounding him. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Just one day later, on May 22, the bodies of a man and a woman — identified as Nerisson and Marcilene, the suspected motorcycle attackers — were discovered tied up, tortured, and dumped in broad daylight with multiple bullet wounds. Police have since launched a full investigation.
Before his untimely death, Ezequias was recognized as a rising football star, having helped his team Manaus FC secure the Supercopa da Floresta title in December 2024.
Paying tribute to the young talent, a spokesperson for Fast Clube, one of his former teams, said:: “Ezequias was much more than a footballer.
“He was a generous, committed, and inspiring human being who honoured our colours with humility, courage, and a deep love for the game.”
