He told my mom she deserves happiness despite being a widow- Lady shares on how her father met her mother 38yrs ago

An X user has shared a touching story about how her parents met and got married 38 years ago.  

She revealed that her mother was in an abusive marriage and, at the time, was a widow with a 5-year-old son. Her father, a kind-hearted man, encouraged her mother to remarry, even though she doubted men would settle down with a widow.  

She also explained that he took care of her grandfather and even ensured his sisters got married. He had vowed not to marry until her grandfather passed away.  

The couple eventually met through an aunt who was determined to see her father get married. This introduction led to their beautiful union, which has now lasted nearly four decades.
