Muslim schoolgirl who accused her teacher for being Islamophobic Finally confess it is False after his murder

A Muslim schoolgirl who falsely accused her teacher of Islamophobia and spread rumors has admitted in court that her claims were lies. 

These allegations had tragic consequences, leading to the brutal murder of Samuel Paty, a French teacher, on October 16, 2020. 

Paty was killed by Abdoullakh Anzorov, an 18-year-old Islamist radical of Chechen origin, who beheaded him in the street after seeing social media posts accusing Paty of showing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in class. These accusations, initially spread by the 13-year-old schoolgirl, escalated tensions and ultimately cost Paty his life.

The girl had claimed that Paty asked Muslim students to leave the classroom before showing the caricatures of Prophet Muhammad by satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.

However, she has now confessed that these allegations were fabricated. She admitted in court that she lied out of fear of her parents’ reaction after being suspended for bad behavior at school.

In an emotional apology addressed to Paty’s family, the girl said: “I know it’s hard to hear, but I wanted to apologise sincerely. I’m sorry for destroying your life. I apologise for my lie that brought us all back here. Without me, no one would be here.”

She further explained her fear of confessing earlier:  “I wanted to tell my parents it was false, but I was afraid. My teacher had been decapitated, my father was in police custody—I couldn’t say it was false.” 

The girl eventually confessed after 30 hours and two police interviews. She was suspended from school for 18 months due to her slanderous allegations.

The case also implicated five other minors, aged 14 or 15 at the time of the murder. They faced charges of criminal conspiracy to prepare aggravated violence. Four received suspended sentences, while one was sentenced to six months with an electronic tag after being identified as the individual who pointed Paty out to the killer.
