Transgender beauty queen Kataluna Enriquez Speaks about bathroom ban based on Gender

Transgender beauty queen Kataluna Enriquez, who is Miss Nevada USA, has expressed her support for Congresswoman-elect Sarah McBride after McBride addressed the controversy surrounding bathroom use in Congress.

In a statement shared on her Instagram, McBride, the first openly transgender member of Congress, emphasized her focus on serving her constituents rather than engaging in debates about bathroom policies.

She wrote:”I’m not here to fight about bathrooms, Im here to fight for all Dealwarens and to bring down the cost facing families. Like all members I will follow the rules as outlined by speaker Johnson even if i disagree with them. “This effort to distract from the real issues facing this country hasn’t distracted me over the past several days as i have remained hard at work preparing to present the greatest state in the union come January. “Serving in the 119th congress will be a honor of lifetime and i continue to look forward in getting to know my future colleagues on both sides of the aisle. Each of us where sent here because of voters saw something in us that they value I have love to see those qualities in the future colleagues that I’ve met and look forward to see those qualities in every members come January. I hope all my colleagues will seek to do the same with me .”

The debate began after House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that all congressional members must use restrooms based on their gender at birth, citing the need for “women-only spaces.” Additionally, South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace introduced a bill to ban transgender women from using women’s restrooms in Capitol buildings and on federal properties.

Kataluna Enriquez praised McBride for her poise and focus amidst the controversy, commending her decision to avoid distractions and trolls.

Enriquez added that while she supports protecting safe spaces for women and children, she believes such bans often mask prejudice rather than address legitimate safety concerns.
