Man borrows N2.3M from his office for his wedding only to be sprayed with N350K

A man is reportedly in a devastated state after discovering that guests at his wedding sprayed only ₦350,000, despite his having borrowed ₦2.3 million to fund the event.

The story was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter), who claimed the groom is his neighbor’s brother. According to the post, the man deeply regrets his decision to take on such a financial burden for the wedding.

He revealed that his wife has always been the one who wanted a big, extravagant wedding.

He wrote: ““My neighbour’s brother, a civil servant got married over the weekend, he spent N6m in expenses. He was only able to realize 350k from the total money sprayed. He said his wife wanted a loud wedding, and he agreed, now he is regretting that decision. I don’t feel sorry for him. “
