I gave up my dreams to become a Full housewife, My husband has never made me Pay bills on my own

Linda, a full-time housewife, recently shared her life journey in an interview with Truly, revealing how she gave up her personal dreams to dedicate herself to her marriage.

Linda explained that she focuses entirely on managing the home while her husband, Ricky, handles all financial responsibilities. Ricky, who works as a real estate investor and forex trader, shared that he earns approximately $150,000 per month.

Their Beginnings

Ricky revealed that he wasn’t always wealthy: “When I met her, I wasn’t making a lot of money. I was working as a health coach at a gym.” Linda humorously interrupted, saying:
“I was looking to lose weight, but instead, I found a husband.”

The couple described their connection as instant, with Linda adding: “We just thought we were soulmates from day one. We’ve been together for almost eight years now and got married when I was 19.”

Transitioning to a Traditional Wife

Linda shared how she embraced the role of a traditional wife, influenced by her upbringing in Jordan:
“In my culture, the man is the provider. My parents always had traditional roles—my dad made all the money while my mom cooked, cleaned, and cared for the family.”

She acknowledged her father had initially hoped she would become a doctor, a dream she shared. However, she chose to focus on her marriage instead: “It takes a lot of trust to give up your dreams and focus on taking care of your husband. But I don’t have any fears about it.”

Linda explained that Ricky ensures she never has to ask for money:”He gives me a set amount every month or buys items from my wish list. I’ve never paid a bill in my life—I don’t even know how to pay a mortgage. For us, bills are irrelevant because Ricky handles everything.”

Ricky added:”I don’t think it’s unfair that I pay for everything. We’re a team, and I’m providing for us as one.”

Facing Criticism

Linda admitted to receiving hate online: “I do get alot of hate people are really mean on social media but i have gotten used to it, People say he is gonna leave you, he is gonna cheat on you he is gonna abuse you I have heard that i am a spoiled brat, I have heard that i bring nothing to the table It is quite vicious actually

“We have been together for a long time even before he had money so i am not trying to just take him for all his worth i have also heard a lot of nice comments from women especially who say that i urge them to choose better in their relationships and not settle for less, I believe modern relationships that do 50/50 are unhappy and it is not natural people are waking up to realize that it is better to contribute to your home and your family life versus working at a corporate job that is sucking you dry.”

Ricky, on his part, shrugged off the negativity:”I’ve seen comments calling her a gold digger, and I find it pretty funny.”
