Victoria Theilvig Wins Miss Universe 2024 as Chidinma Adetshina emerges as 1st runner up

In the Miss Universe 2024 competition, Chidinma Adetshina from Nigeria made history as the first Nigerian to be named 1st runner-up. She was followed by María Fernanda Beltran of Mexico, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, and Ileana Márquez of Venezuela.  

The crown went to Victoria Theilvig from Denmark, who triumphed over 124 contestants in a 3-hour pageant held in Mexico on Sunday, November 17, 2024.  

Victoria’s victory marks Denmark’s first-ever win in Miss Universe history.
