Deaf couples finally weds and exchange wedding vows

A Kenyan couple, James Njuguna and Ruffi Tabu, both born deaf, recently tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony.

They exchanged vows using sign language at the PCEA Township Church in Kitengela, surrounded by family and friends who gathered to celebrate their union. 

Their wedding was blessed by Reverend Obonyo, a deaf minister, who blessed their marriage and guided them into the holy estate of matrimony.

How she met her husband, Tabu said: “We met at the place of work, EPZ. At that time, I did not know him. He was a good friend of mine for about a year. 

“We would talk, but I did not realise that he wanted me. We got along well and became good friends. The first time he asked me to be his girlfriend, I told him it was impossible, but this changed as time passed. I was surprised he loved me, and that is how we continued until today,”The news of their wedding was shared by Facebook user Wahome Thuku, who celebrated the couple’s beautiful union.
