My grandparents left me a Inheritance of N1.4B and my stepfather is Pressuring me to give him the money
A teenager recently turned to social media for advice on handling a £700,000 (Equivalent to 1.4Billion naira)inheritance from her grandparents, which includes two properties: a four-bedroom house in Boston and a two-bedroom vacation home in California.
In a post on Reddit, she shared that her stepfather has been pressuring her to give him a portion of the inheritance, but she is reluctant to do so.
She explained that her mother, 38, married her stepfather, 50, a few years ago. He brought three of his four children—ages 14, 17, and 10—into the marriage, and her mother later had two more children with him, who are now 5 and 7 years old.
She wrote: “I (F) recently turned 18 and received a sizeable inheritance worth around 700k from my paternal grandparents, being their only living descendant. This includes a 4 bedroom home in Boston as well as a small 2 bedroom vacation house in California. Several years ago my mum (38F) married my stepdad (50M), who had four kids (17F, 14F, 10M) from his previous marriage, and they had an additional two children (7F, 5M) together. We also have my step-nephew (1M) living with us. My stepdad used to be a construction worker while my mum was a homeowner, and although they still worried about money, we lived in a decent house and had a regular, working class upbringing. That said, I didn’t get along well with my stepfamily. My stepdad hated the fact that I wasn’t related to him by blood, and he constantly ostracised me for being mixed race (I’m half Colombian from my dad’s side). I only got £2 allowance per week even though I had to pay for public transport, I had to share a room but he turned the sunroom into a bedroom specially for my younger sister, and he wouldn’t allow me to try out for a scholarship for a private school even though I could’ve easily passed because it would be ‘unfair’ to my siblings.
Around 2 years ago, my stepdad got arrested for something awful, and after all the financial problems that followed, including spending money on the new baby after he was born with birth defects (he’s fine now don’t worry), we ended up getting evicted. We had to move into a 2 bedroom council apartment, with me sharing the largest bedroom with the two eldest sisters and my nephew, my other siblings sharing the other bedroom, and my mum sleeping in the living room. My mum works two minimum wage jobs, and made me get a second job too even with my exams coming up, yet she’s fine with my stepsister staying home all day after dropping out of school. We can afford necessities like food and heating but we’ve had to cut back on basically everything else.
After I got my inheritance my mum begged me to use it to help out our family, and I refused. The thing is, my father and his parents were American, while the rest of my family are English and don’t even have passports, so it’s not like they can live in the property. I plan on using the money to pay for University and afterwards travel the world and experience new cultures. I’ve always loved animals and I want to follow my passions and open a cat cafe without having to worry about money. My family wants me to sell the property I inherited and buy a house in this country for them to live in as well as another second house for my sister and her son. I promised I’d help them buy groceries and rent a better apartment, but it shouldn’t be my responsibility to take care of them. It was my name in the will, not theirs. My stepsister is especially furious with me and says it’s unfair that I get a ‘fairytale’ ending even though her life was harder than mine. Everyone thinks I’m ‘wasting’ my money on my wants and ignoring their needs. “
A woman has taken to social media to share the shocking chats she had with her husband, where he demanded to take a second wife.
In a video posted on TikTok, the now-divorced woman shared throwback messages from her ex-husband, who claimed that marrying another woman would benefit their marriage. He explained that he wanted someone to cook for him and engage in conversations, insisting it would make their household “complete.”
In the chat, her husband wrote: “I want someone I can come home to, who can cook and engage in conversation. I believe having a second wife will bring joy and fulfillment to our household.”
The devastated woman responded calmly, saying,”Whatever makes you happy, sir.”

Mina Caputo, the lead singer of the rock band Life of Agony, has announced plans to transition back to living as a man.
Mina initially came out as transgender in 2011, after identifying as male until 2008. Reflecting on the journey, Mina shared that overcoming gender dysphoria was a challenging process and after walking through a lot he later got to understand the confusions in his soul and spirit.
In a video he shared on his Instagram page, he said: “‘Surgery has been booked to remove my fake breasts, and I will be lovingly living in my divine male self.
“‘I’ve cured my gender dysphoria. It took many years. A lot of walking through the fire, but I rose above my misunderstandings of my soul and my spirit.
‘I’m making this video because a lot of people throwing me shade, saying I look ugly, and I look like a man.”
“It’s like honey lamb, I am a man, I always was a man. You’re just not used to hearing authentic people speak. You’re used to people spitting lies at you about their identity.
“Yes, I’m off of hormones, six, seven years now and this January 2025 and I am — my surgery has been booked to remove my fake breasts and I will be lovingly living in my divine male self,’ he explained.
“I’ll be physically completely de-transitioned in 2025. I can’t wait. I feel so free.’
“I’m very proud of myself………I’ve been through so much over the years. I wouldn’t wish gender dysphoria on my worst enemy. It’s one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever been through in my life, and I’m just so happy that it is f***ing over.

A grieving mother, Tina Ellis, is mourning the tragic loss of her 35-year-old son, John Ellis, a veterinarian who took his own life after struggling with emotional distress in his profession.
According to The Mail, Tina revealed that John found it deeply upsetting when animals he treated couldn’t be saved and also when wealthy clients refused to pay for their pets’ treatments, despite showing up in expensive cars.
The tragedy unfolded on November 6, 2022. John, in a distressed state, reportedly tricked a nurse into giving him a lethal dose of euthanasia drugs, claiming it was for a friend’s large dog. He later used the drug on himself. Before his death, he told his partner of 12 years, Ashley James, that he was going to pick up a package from his former workplace. Later, he called James to confess he had done “something stupid” and expressed his love.
Later at the scene, Police found John unresponsive in a bathroom and rushed him to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours of November 7.
Tina shared that her son had always hidden his distress, as he was used to staying calm under pressure. John had worked as a vet for 17 years and dreamed of earning a good income while helping animals.
Mrs Ellis said her son once said: “When I’ve got somebody saying they won’t pay to help their animal, and they’re sitting there with a brand-new car outside, and other people who were really struggling financially would do anything to save their animals, but there was nothing they could do because it was already too late.”
She added: “People get the wrong idea of vets……..The higher-earning ones have been in the profession longer but started on low wage.
“John wanted to earn a good wage, but he’d worked 17 years to get where he was. Vets come in for a lot of bashing. They try really hard to save whatever pets get brought in.”
“It’s an absolute travesty that he’s been lost not only for us but for the veterinary world. He was so good at what he did. He was fun, he was funny, he was generous, he was kind. He was so clever, and we were so proud of him.
“What has come out is how supportive John was to so many different people. He was really encouraging to his younger brother and sister in their careers. He was an amazing brother to them. John would try to spend his own time with nurses in the practice and other young colleagues, trying to give them the confidence to succeed.
Paying tribute to john, his family said: “”He poured his heart into his work, and his absence leaves a deep void in the lives of all who had the privilege of working with him and knowing him personally. As a family, we are devastated by the loss of John, and we continue to grapple with the heartbreak and shock that come with the death of someone so young and full of potential…
“We want to take this opportunity to encourage anyone who may be struggling with mental health challenges to seek support and not suffer in silence. No one should feel that they are alone, and we urge everyone to reach out for help if they are in need.”
A man shared a heartbreaking story in a Facebook group about how another man tragically ended his life after marrying a single mother.
According to the post, the man fell in love with a pregnant woman who had been abandoned by her partner. He promised to take responsibility for her unborn child and married her. Over the years, their son grew up and was admitted to study medicine, now in his third year at the university.
However, things took a devastating turn when the wife reconnected with her former lover and revealed to her son the identity of his biological father. The son later informed the man who raised him that his mother was secretly seeing her ex and that the two younger children in the family were not his but belonged to her former lover.
Overwhelmed by betrayal and frustration, the man tragically ended his life by jumping into a well.

A woman has opened up on social media about her regrets after becoming a mother.
In a Reddit post, she shared that she and her partner, both in their mid-30s, recently welcomed a child, but adjusting to life with a baby has been extremely challenging for them.
She went on to question how parents with multiple children manage, describing raising a child as one of the hardest experiences of her life.
She wrote: “Do you regret not having more kids? Or vice versa, do you regret having more kids?
My spouse and I welcomed our child 4 months ago. We’re both in our early to mid 30’s and are exhausted!! We love our little one to pieces but we’re grieving our old lives and relationship! The newborn phase was so so difficult for us, and the infant stage also has its challenges we can’t fathom having more than 1 child atm.
The fact that many people are out here having multiple children makes me question if I’m just that weak minded?! Raising a child has been the single hardest thing I have ever done in my life.
The sleepless nights, declining health, weak joints, memory loss, etc etc.
My partner and I are torn whether or not we want to try for another, but we also don’t want to wait too long and be older and have to go through this again later on 😭”
