I hide in bushes because people are saying I’m too scary for halloween due to my tattoos

A mother with 800 tattoos, Melissa Sloan, has revealed that she hides in bushes after being labeled “too scary” for Halloween. 

Melissa shared that she’s never been invited to a Halloween party because of her heavily tattooed appearance, and even if she was there she would still need a costume. 

She also mentioned that people often tell her she doesn’t need one, as her look is already frightening enough for the occasion. 

Speaking to Dailystar, she said: “People say I don’t need a costume because I’m scary enough,”  “They don’t know the inside of me, bless them.

“I just take no notice of them as there’s nothing I can do, nothing I can do. I just carry on with the tattoos, more tattoos.

“I’ve never been invited to a Halloween party, I’d love to be invited but that’s not happened. I’d scare them all when I walk through the door.

“I would dress up as Freddy Kruger because you can’t see me underneath,” Melissa explained. “I’ll have a red and grey jumper with a mask – can’t see me then, can you!

“I’d also dress up as the guy from Chainsaw massacre, the one with the saw. I don’t know what people would say but they would stand and stare probably.”

Hiding in the bushes because of her appearance, she said: “It’s shocking to some people. It’s shocking people can’t accept it, the scribble on people’s faces [they say] ‘oh my gosh.

“But, I’m going to take my kids trick or treating but I’ll hide in a bush. I’m just weird and crazy, I would go to the door with them but they say ‘stay back mum’. But, they’re old enough now so I don’t want to be babying them do I!”

She added: “Kids don’t knock my door.

 “They never come here. I don’t know why but probably ‘it’s crazy Melissa’s house’. We don’t get anyone knocking on this door.

“In a way it’s good because we don’t have to buy sweets and that but, oh well never mind! They just never come here. They do know it’s my house because when people do go past the house, I’ve got a camera, and people in this street all know me – obviously.

“They look at my house all the time when they go past and I say to my partner Luke, why do people stare at my house? It’s crazy.”
