He pretended to have a call and left us with a bill of N95K- Lady lament on how man ran away on their first date

A Kenyan lady, Vanessa Grace, has shared a story on her TikTok account about how a Congolese man left her and her friends stranded with a bill of Ksh 7,500. 

Vanessa narrated that she met the man at a café, where he appeared well-dressed and was seemingly scouting for ladies. The encounter began when the man approached one of her friends, claiming to be friends with the Deputy President of Kenya. 

He further mentioned that during a trip to Kampala, Ugandan ladies had robbed him, leaving him penniless.

The man then asked for Vanessa’s friend’s phone number, stating that he wanted to discuss business with her. After some texting, he eventually suggested meeting again and asked her to choose the venue.

Vanessa explained that when her friend decided to meet the man, she asked Vanessa to accompany her. They waited for him for about an hour at the location. When he finally arrived, he assured them to order anything they wanted, as he would cover the bill, and he also placed his own order.

Vanessa began noticing some strange behavior but decided to remain calm. However, the situation took a turn when the man stood up, pretending to take an important phone call. While Vanessa and her friend were distracted by sharing pictures with each other, the man disappeared without a trace, leaving them with the bill.
