World oldest woman celebrates her birthday as she turns 118
Margaret Maritz, one of the world’s oldest women, is being celebrated today as she turns 118 years old.
Margaret, who hails from South Africa, marked the occasion at her home in Touws River, about 110 miles northeast of Cape Town. She was joined by her daughters, other residents, and carers for the celebration.
Although Margaret is incredibly old, she is not officially the world’s oldest person. That title currently belongs to a Japanese woman, Tomiko Itooka, who was born on May 23rd, 1908. Margaret, however, was born on September 27th, 1906.
Reflecting on her life, a senior nurse at the home said Margaret often spoke about the importance of respecting one’s parents. A senior nurse at her house, Gregory Elroy Adams, shared that she never smoked or drank alcohol.
He said: “She talks about her life as a young woman, (saying) you must respect your mother and your father,
“She didn’t drink, she didn’t smoke.”
One of her daughters, Liza Daniels, 67, expressed her gratitude saying: “We must be grateful. I don’t know if I will ever reach that age, but for me, it’s a very, very big privilege to have a mother that reaches this age.”

@aj2000x It got really emotional for me, seeing that I haven’t celebrated my birthday in such a long time, I brushed my birthdays aside for many years because I kinda lost the joy in celebrating it after a while, but she reignited that spark and made me whole again. It was last minute, so don’t judge the cake. She put a lot of effort into it and I couldn’t be more grateful for such a caring and loving person to be my partner. PS this is old. My birthday was in March #f#foryouuf#fypツi#ilysm💖b#birthdaysc#cryx#xyzbcax#xyzbcaaa ♬ oscar winning tears – 🎧🫀

Popular actress, Soledad Fandino Undergoes surgery after Diagnosed with Cancer
Popular Argentine actress Soledad Fandino recently took to social media to share that she underwent surgeries to remove tumors from her breast.
In an Instagram post featuring several photos of her in the hospital, Soledad revealed that she sought medical attention after feeling unwell.
After visiting the doctor, she was diagnosed with tumors.
Despite the challenging times, she mentioned that she tried to stay positive, brave, and distract herself while facing her fears.
She said: “I recently went through surgery, a stage in my life that began when my intuition convinced me that something was not right
“The diagnosis of breast cancer is not easy and much less the words we hear from others during this process.
“Sometimes without meaning to, what they say can hurt, generate fear or uncertainty.
In her Instagram post, Soledad Fandino expressed gratitude for her family and loved ones, who supported her through these difficult times.
She also shared a piece of advice, urging people to stop judging others, as no one truly knows the struggles someone may be facing. Instead, she encouraged everyone to be kind to one another.
She wrote: “Here’s a story behind each one. ❤️ 🩹
First pic is from a few days ago. I knew what I was facing, but I tried to distract myself a bit, to stay strong, positive, determined and most of all to be brave despite all my fears. Show me up like nothing happened.
Other pictures are yesterday before and after surgery. With my aunt, my family, my son, my life partners, Vero and Mariana, who stayed with me to spend the night at the sanatorium.
I will tell you all about my process later, I don’t feel ready yet. My priority now is to heal, awaken and build the new. ❤️
We never really know what is the story behind every person we see, every picture we look at, what are they living or feeling, what processes, fears or feelings they are going through. So instead of judging each other, let’s be kind and if we’re going to share something, let it be love. ❤️
I feel infinite gratitude towards my doctors, nurses, all my family, my friends and those who have been with me and continue to do so in these days.
Hoy estoy muy bien, sanando. 💪”

Woman gives birth to baby at her Garden while on her way to hospital
A video has gone viral showing the incredible moment a mother, Natasha Downing, gave birth in her garden.
Natasha, who was 39 weeks pregnant, was on her way to the hospital when her water broke just as she was heading to the car.
The entire event was captured by her doorbell camera, which recorded her squatting down and giving birth to her baby, named Lilybella, right there in the garden.
In the footage, Natasha’s husband, Tom, is seen by her side, helping her through the unexpected delivery. After the birth, Tom stayed close as Natasha lay on the ground holding her newborn daughter in her arms, wrapped in towels, while they waited for the midwife to arrive.
Narrating the ordeal, Natasha said: “I’m walking down the stairs and I feel my baby coming. I had to squat down outside and then my waters break. I knew I wasn’t making it to the birthing centre.”
Natasha shared that around 11:30 a.m., she visited her midwife, who performed a membrane sweep, a common procedure to help start labor naturally.
After the procedure, Natasha returned home, and within a few hours, she went into labor. She mentioned that her contractions were coming every three minutes, but she didn’t feel much pain at first. When the pain started, she called her midwife, who lived just 15 minutes away.
As the contractions intensified, Natasha’s husband began running around, packing the car and getting ready to take her to the hospital. However, time was short, and Natasha ended up giving birth to a baby girl she made her way down the stairs.
She continued: “She was perfectly healthy, it was everything I had ever dreamed of this was everything I had wanted for both of my births – it sounds like it would be a traumatic birth, but it was very healing and really amazing.’
“After I hung up the phone on the midwife, I decided to wait 30 minutes and then as soon as the call ended, within two minute my contractions were too painful for me to stand.
“I wasn’t able to stand or move and there was no way I was getting clothes on and no way I was making it to the birthing centre.
“I was walking down the stairs and I feel my baby coming. I just felt my body pushing her down. The brain isn’t working the way it is when you’re normal and cognizant.
“I just kept screaming at him at Tom to get Nitrous Oxide and tell the midwife to get it ready, as I’m thinking I can’t get there.
“I got past the front door, I squatted down and my water breaks, to which then my husband crouches and sees the baby’s head poking out of me.
“I got into the squat, and I just breathed like I just did not push at all, and her heads cleared on her own.
“As my husband looked, he told me the baby’s blue and only her head was out, and I feel her pushing backward.
“I didn’t know how she was going to clear in this position. So, I got on my side and I’m lying with my leg in the air.
“I was on call to my midwife, and all I know is I have to push to clear her shoulders. My husband got her head and it’s amazing. My neighbour ran out and pulled my head onto her lap and came out with towels.
“It’s like a wave going through my body and that was my only push, and she came out and she was totally fine. One push and she came out, and I gave birth at 18.25pm.
“My midwives arrived, and I birth the placenta when they came. The midwives checked the baby and gave her a vitamin K shot and I stayed home.

No matter how angry your husband is, Do not leave your marriage- Toyin Tomato tells Women
Veteran Nollywood actress Toyin Adegbola, popularly known as Toyin Tomato, has advised women to stay in their marriages regardless of any challenges they may face.
According to her, women should seek ways to reconcile when they have issues with their husbands instead of leaving the marriage. She emphasized that if a woman leaves her marriage and gets involved with someone else, it is also considered cheating.
Additionally, Toyin Adegbola advised men to treat their wives like their firstborns. She explained that no matter how intelligent a man might think he is, he often cannot outsmart a woman.
She said: “I have always told women that no matter how ‘m@d’ your husband is, never think of sending him out nor you packing out of your matrimonial home because it will end in a begging spree when your kids want to do something important in future.
That is when he will start saying ‘My wife must be there, my wife must be there’ and then you will also not see a single man that will want you. Wherever you are thinking of going, you are also going there to go and cheat on somebody else too.
Sit in your marital home and be begging him. Be protecting yourself too. I have a friend who whenever her husband is coming into Nigeria, she will hand him a pack of c*ndoms. The man will now call me and be like ‘’Yeye, see what your friend gave to me ooo! Me I will not use it oo! It is who she wants to put in trouble she is looking for. Love smart!
Men should see their wives as their firstborns as women have always seen husbands as their firstborns. No matter how a man thinks he is smart, he will still be foolish with women. It is what we want you to see that you will see. Between us and our children, it is what we want you to know that you will know.”
