A tattoo artist, identified as Javi, has faced heavy backlash on social media after sharing a video of one of his clients getting a tattoo.
The client opted to have his birthdate tattooed in Roman numerals on the side of his face, near his sideburn.
Javi captioned the video, “Client’s first tattoo – his birthdate on his sideburn,” which sparked a wave of criticism from viewers.
Many questioned the decision to tattoo on why the tattooist will do such.
One user commented, “I hope you tried to talk him out of it💀 he’s gonna regret that the next day.”
Another wrote, “Tattoo artists need to learn to say no.”
A third added, “ngl, massive red flag for an artist to tattoo a face on someone who has no ink at all.”
Others expressed concern about the impact of such a tattoo on the client’s future, with one saying, “Have standards. Don’t ruin people’s lives.”
Another user shared a personal experience: “When I was like 19, I was SO close to getting Japanese writing on my cheekbone as my first tattoo. No artist in my area would do it, and I’m so happy for it now looking back.”
