Builders arrives at wrong house, renovates kitchen as owner was absent

A woman was left shocked after discovering that builders had mistakenly renovated her house without her calling for their services.

Sharing the moment on social media, she captioned the video, “Why does it keep happening? Workers came to the wrong house again.”

In the clip, she is heard telling the workers, “You guys are at the wrong house,” but they continued with the renovation as if everything was normal. By the time they finished, they handed her the bill for their services.

Despite the mix-up, she decided to pay for the renovations because she loved the new design, especially the granite installation in her kitchen. 

“One of the blokes is now chatting with his boss. Looks like I’ve got bloody granite in my kitchen now,” she said. She humorously added, “They handed me a bill, which I won’t show you, and I paid for it. I love it, cheers! Love mistakes.”

In an interview with Daily Star, the woman explained that she had left her door unlocked while she was out grocery shopping, only to return and find her home had been renovated. She noted that where she lives, the houses have identical layouts, which likely led to the confusion. “I live in a little town bordering Detroit, super safe,” she said, explaining why she hadn’t locked her door.
