House cleaner finds $40k gem under Mouldy Carpet
A woman named Charlotte Bosanquet, who makes a living cleaning hoarder homes, recently shared an interesting discovery she made while on the job.
In an interview with Femail, Charlotte explained that she started her cleaning business to help people reclaim their homes. She charges between $5,000 and $20,000 per job, depending on the condition of the house.
She recalled her first experience cleaning a hoarder home, saying, “It was extremely tiring but also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever accomplished. Helping people who feel there’s no way out is the best feeling in the world. You just have to put your head down and go for it.”
During one of her cleaning jobs, Charlotte found something remarkable. “It was under a moldy carpet—a rare and valuable copper coin, one of the rarest ever minted. My heart was racing—imagine finding that beneath all the dust and grime. Talk about a hidden treasure,” she said.
