A woman named Rose has opened up about the abuse she faced in her marriage to her much older white husband. In an interview with Lynn Ngugi, Rose revealed that her husband was 40 years older than her and shared some shocking details about her time with him.
Manipulation and Control
During her marriage, Rose described how her husband used his connections to manipulate her life. She mentioned that he had friends who were doctors and even planned to remove her fallopian tube, which made it impossible for her to conceive.
“My husband hated attachments but loved only straight hair and specific weaves. When it came to the topic of having children, he became distant,” Rose said. “I didn’t have any money or anything. I was just sitting there in his mansion.”
Rose continued, explaining how she started to worry when she couldn’t conceive at 27. She visited a gynecologist who suggested she take a painful test called an HSG to check her fertility. The test results showed a blocked tube on her right side. Her husband took these results to his doctor friends, and they decided her tube should be removed.
“He took my reports to his friends, who were doctors, and they started discussing me like I didn’t exist. They decided my tube should be removed,” Rose recalled. “At the time, I didn’t know much. We didn’t have a lot of access to the internet, so I trusted what they said.”
On the day of the surgery, Rose had a strange encounter with the doctor. The doctor told her that her husband insisted on watching the surgery, which he found unusual.
“The doctor told me, ‘I’ve never seen a family member ask to watch a surgery. Usually, they are outside praying.’ He felt it was odd and warned me that a person who wants to watch you being operated on might not have good intentions,” Rose explained.
Discovering the Truth
After recovering from the surgery, Rose met with American doctors volunteering in her area. She asked for their opinion on her case, and they were shocked to learn her tube was removed unnecessarily.
“They told me the surgery wasn’t needed and that it seemed like they wanted to sabotage my chances of having children,” Rose said. “This made me realize my husband didn’t have good intentions for me.”
When she confronted her husband about discussing her health with his doctor friends, they had a huge fight. He showed no remorse and continued to control her life, even making arrangements with a local supermarket to prevent her from handling any money.
Breaking Free
Rose eventually decided she had to leave the marriage. When she told her husband, he laughed and said, “You have nowhere to go. You won’t leave here with a single cent.”
Despite his threats, Rose left with only 200 Kenyan Shillings in her bag. She reflected on the ten years she spent in that marriage, realizing she lost much more than money.
“I lost my fertility, the chance to experience life with someone my age, and the dream of becoming super rich. I didn’t even get to keep the mansion,” Rose lamented. “I lost so much during those years.”
Emotional Struggle
Rose also shared the emotional impact of failed IVF treatments. Despite the paperwork indicating two embryos were transferred during a cycle, she felt deceived and empty-handed.
“According to them, they didn’t transfer anything to me in that cycle. Yet, my papers said they did,” Rose said. “I looked at my belly and saw nothing. The money and everything I hoped for were gone.”

“The item in question could have been demolished so it’s all luck of the draw.
“But it’s all part of the research.”
Stuart added that the bunker is located on private land and believes the landowner is likely aware of its existence.
“It’s on private land so I’d expect the farmer knows it’s there.”
The discovery has fascinated history enthusiasts online, offering a rare glimpse into a wartime structure that has remained hidden for decades.

Couples Arrested After Climbing Empire State Building Antenna for Marriage Proposal
The pair, who were dressed in black, were seen scaling the building’s antenna without safety harnesses before standing on a narrow ledge near the summit, approximately 443 metres (1,454 feet) above Manhattan.
