I got pregnant after detransitioning myself and the damage done on my body has made me feel like Weird

A transgender who transitioned from a woman to a man has opened up about the challenges of childbirth and how it put both himself and his baby at risk.

The 26yr old mom, Prisha Mosley stated that she felt like a monster after going through the sufferings. According to her, she was diagnosed with gender dysphoria ( a sense of unease that a person may have because of a mismatch between their biological sex and their gender identity) which means she cannot feed her child after cutting off her breasts when she was at the age of 18yrs old.

In a candid interview with Daily Mail Prisha revealed how the decision to transition affected her ability to care for her newborn:

“I had to take medication to stop my body from producing milk, which also suppresses a hormone linked to bonding with my baby. It makes me feel like a monster, like a bad person. But I didn’t have a choice.”

Struggles with Mental Health

Prisha disclosed that she battled mental health issues from a young age. She was advised by doctors that transitioning from a girl to a boy would alleviate her problems. However, she now feels a profound disconnect from her body and emotions, particularly when it comes to her child.

“I feel nothing there. The nerves were completely severed,” she explained. “I know he’ll feel me, but my chest isn’t soft and pillowy the way it’s supposed to be. And when he’s there, I won’t feel anything.”

Prisha spoke about the physical and emotional impact of her top surgery, which damaged her nerves, leaving her unable to feel her son when he lays on her chest. 

She also revealed that she takes a medication called “cabergoline” to stop milk production, further distancing her from the natural bonding process with her baby.

“Last night, I kept pressing my fingers really hard into my chest, and I eventually did it so hard that it hurt my rib bones. But I didn’t know I was doing it. I feel nothing.”
