In a series of Facebook posts, Maketere expressed his belief that women who refer to their husbands as “baby” are not being romantic and do not truly love them.

He argues that by using such terms, women test their husband’s willingness to accept the nickname, potentially using it to manipulate or push people away.

Maketere further claims that a man being called “baby” can have negative effects on their children and society.
