I got drunk and slept with my boss and I don’t know what to do- Lady cries out
A woman has taken to social media to seek advice after a mistake occurred between her and her boss.
In a post on Reddit, she explained that her boss had been suggesting they grab a drink together, which they eventually did due to their good rapport. She mentioned that she used to be attracted to her boss but was unsure if he felt the same way.
While having drinks at his place, they both got drunk and ended up being intimate. Now, she doesn’t know how to face her boss after what happened between them.
She wrote: “I (26F) got drunk and slept with my boss (32M) and I don’t know what to do about it. I’ve never done anything like this before.
This past Tuesday was a really bad day at work. We got threatened with a lawsuit and on top of that everything else seemed to be going wrong. Works ends late for us. My boss and I were the last ones there. We had been talking about how we needed a drink all day long and that was going to be the first thing we both did as soon as we got home – it was just one of those days. So he invited me to go grab a drink. This isn’t super unusual for the people I work with. We all actually like each other, for the most part, and some people hang out outside of work. I’ve never gone out for a drink with him solo though.
So we went to a nearby bar. I had a few drinks. It doesn’t take too much for me to get drunk, but normally I have full control over myself…like I just don’t get that drunk that I do embarrassing things. Well, I rarely get that drunk, let’s say. Can’t claim it’s never happened. Having sex with a co-worker or a random person is definitely not something I’ve ever done when drinking.
We ended up back at his place and had sex. I slept there and the next day I could remember the details clearly enough. It was so embarrassing. I woke up at around 5 am and got an Uber back to work where my car was and went home before I had to be at work for the day on Wednesday.
On Wednesday we avoided each other the best we could and only spoke briefly when it was absolutely necessary for the job. Luckily, I had prescheduled vacation time Thursday and Friday, but I work again tomorrow. The anxiety of facing him again is making me sick. And I’m sitting here at home wondering if everyone knows. What if he told somebody?
The thing is that I was/am very attracted to him, but he was my boss so what could I do? I also could never tell if he was interested in me at all because he’s sort of aloof and it’s hard to gauge him sometimes. We got along great though and this is the best place I’ve ever worked, so I don’t want this to completely screw all of that up.
What’s the appropriate thing to do here?
I feel like I should bring it say something to him about it, but I don’t know what to say or how to bring it up. Maybe I should just not mention it and continue to let things stay awkward indefinitely, but it’s so uncomfortable. I want to just clear the air about it but what do I even say?

In a video shared on Instagram, Lynn showed the moment she was escorted from the aircraft by a cabin crew member. According to Lynn, the crew member told her that other passengers were no longer safe with her on the flight.
Speaking about the ban, Lynn said:
“Just got an email from Alaska Airlines, oh how I love you so much
“Telling me that I’m basically banned officially, I’m officially banned forever and ever from Alaska Airlines.
“And the other sister airlines for my disruptive behaviour and being non-compliant.
“I’ll tell you what, guys – I truly feel strongly in my spirit that this is a spiritual battle, and I can feel it. This is bigger than just “disruptive behaviour.”
“How many videos are out there of people yelling, screaming, hooping, hollering, and causing chaos on planes, yet they aren’t banned?
“I didn’t yell, scream, curse anyone out, or threaten anyone.
“I have every right to ask questions. So how is that ‘disruptive behaviour’?
“I believe this is about religious discrimination and Christian freedom of speech.
Lynn also questioned why she was banned while pointing to other incidents involving passengers behaving disruptively on aircraft.
She described the situation as a religious freedom issue and maintained that she had not threatened or verbally abused anyone during the incident.

Shanlavel explained that her former boyfriend had always expressed his desire to have children of his own.
However, after having three children already, she said she did not want to have any more.
She wrote: “When I walked away from this relationship, everybody asked me, “Shanlavell, how could you leave such a good man?” A man who accepted all three of my kids, paid the bills, truly loved me unconditionally, and even asked me to be his wife. It may not make sense to y’all, but I left him because I loved him. He was very successful, had no biological children, and always said he wanted a child of his own. Being that I already had three kids, I didn’t want to have another child. I had also already been through three C-sections, and my doctor told me another pregnancy would be high risk. I was not risking my life to have another baby. He accepted that and told me we could go the surrogate route because he wanted a life with me and my children. The day he proposed to me, I said yes, but when we got home, I immediately ended our relationship. Although he was perfect for me, I realized I wasn’t perfect for him. A man as good as him deserved the family he truly wanted. He deserved the experience of watching his wife carry their child, and I didn’t want to rob him of that just because he loved me enough to sacrifice it for me.
