Woman survives after being swept away by sea for 36hours

A Chinese woman has miraculously survived after being swept away by the sea for 36 hours.

The unnamed woman was reported missing after drifting 50 miles from Shirahama Ohama beach, where she had been swimming with a rubber ring around 7:30 pm and about 125 miles southwest of Tokyo.

Reports indicate that she was swept out to sea by strong winds from the mountains.

During the scene, A passing LPG tanker, the Kakuwa Maru No. 8, was alerted by a cargo ship to assist to rescue the woman and Two crew members from the tanker jumped into the sea and brought her out. She was then airlifted to land by a coast guard helicopter.
