A Kenyan influencer identified as Roselyn Ashanti Mchuna has reportedly suffered severe brain damage following a suspected poisoning incident during her birthday celebration, according to a Facebook post shared by Simon Mwangi Muthiora.

The account, which has circulated on social media, claims that Mchuna collapsed during the celebration on February 14. She was subsequently rushed to a hospital, where doctors reportedly suspected poisoning.

According to the Facebook post, Mchuna had been in good health before the incident and was running several Airbnb businesses in different towns. She had reportedly organised a birthday party to celebrate the occasion with friends and loved ones.

However, what was supposed to be a joyful celebration allegedly turned into a medical emergency when she suddenly collapsed.

In his account, Muthiora alleged that Mchuna’s family reported the incident to the police, treating it as a suspected attempted murder case.

Despite the family’s reported efforts to seek answers, the Facebook post claimed that no one had been arrested or summoned in connection with the incident.

It remains unclear from the account whether a formal investigation is ongoing or whether authorities have identified any suspects.

“DISTURBING! Fear friends 😭! On 14th February, this beautiful lady, Roselyn Ashanti Mchuna, woke up in high spirits since it was her birthday. She was doing well at the time with a chain of AirBnb businesses in several towns. To celebrate this milestone, Chunna as she is fondly referred by family and friends threw a lavish birthday party.

Unknown to her, among the ‘friends’ a snake was smithering with jealous. Chunna was allegedly poisoned according to Doctors treating her. She collapsed at the party, taken to hospital, never to talk, walk, see or eat again. For months she was in the ICU. According to the doctors, she suffered 50% brain damage.

Even after the family reported the matter as an attempted murder, nobody was ever summoned or arrested. Chunna is now under the care of her mom.”

The priest, identified as Father Patricio Alfredo Sánchez Molinari, was preaching to parishioners both inside the church and those watching online when the incident occurred on Saturday at Perpetuo Socorro Church in Guayaquil, Ecuador’s largest city.

According to reports, the accident happened about 30 minutes into the Mass when the heavy wooden cross mounted on the wall behind the altar suddenly fell on the priest.

Footage from the livestream, which has since circulated on social media, captured the frightening moment. A woman could be heard calling out in distress, saying, “Father, Father … call an ambulance.”

Emergency responders were reportedly called to the scene, but Father Sánchez Molinari was later pronounced dead that same day.

According to reports, Xiao Yue suffered from pituitary gigantism and a meningioma, a type of tumour that develops in the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

Her health reportedly deteriorated in July, when her husband disclosed that her condition had worsened.

She later developed severe hyperglycemia, a condition characterised by dangerously high blood sugar levels, which was followed by kidney failure and other complications.

Before her death, Xiao Yue was reportedly scheduled to undergo brain surgery to remove the tumour. However, she passed away before the planned procedure could take place.

Speaking about his wife’s death, Zihao expressed shock over how quickly her condition had progressed, recalling what doctors had initially told him about the procedure.

He said: “The doctor told me it was actually a very mild condition it would just be a minimally invasive procedure to remove the tumor from her brain.

“I never imagined this disease would take someone’s life.

“No matter what people said about her, she would always fulfill their requests”

Zihao also said his wife was now free from pain and illness, expressing hope that she would find peace, joy and freedom from suffering.

The girl, identified as Yuleidy Ixcotoyac, was reportedly declared dead after losing consciousness while her father, Abraham Ixcotoyac, was driving her to a medical centre.

According to reports, her father checked her pulse and breathing but could not detect either. She was subsequently declared dead in the early hours of Saturday.

Speaking to local media about the painful experience, Abraham said, “She had simply ceased to exist; she died on the way,”

He added, “I saw that she was no longer breathing and I couldn’t feel her pulse on her wrists. It was a very difficult situation for me. She did not go to hospital.”

About eight hours later, funeral preparations were underway at the family home in the rural village of El Jocote. Mourners reportedly gathered around 2:30 p.m. after a coffin had been purchased.

However, the funeral took an unexpected turn when Yuleidy reportedly began moving inside the coffin.

Her mother, who said she had insisted that her daughter was still alive, recounted the moment she noticed movement while crying over the coffin.

Speaking about what happened, she said, “I kept saying she was alive; she wasn’t dead.

“When I was crying over her coffin, we opened the window, and she was moving. She was waking up, and suddenly she sat up.”

The incident left the family and mourners shocked as the girl, who had been declared dead earlier, reportedly showed signs of life during the funeral preparations.
