Man who went missing at age 17 found alive after 27yrs
A Man who vanished at the age of 17 for almost 30yrs has been found alive following an alleged kidnapping.
The man identified as Omar Bin Omran was discovered in his neighbor’s house, concealed in a hole underground in a sheep pen beneath layers of hay.

His disappearance dates back to when he was last seen in the city of Djelfa, Algeria, 27 years ago. His family had presumed him dead amid the turmoil the civil war between the North African nation’s government and various Islamist rebel groups which lasted for 10 years in the 1990s and early 2000s.
After a lengthy absence, Omar, now 45 years old, was rescued on May 12th, leading to the arrest of a 61-year-old man who is currently in police custody.
In footage circulating online, torchlights illuminate a pit surrounded by hay as Omar gazes up in disbelief while surrounded by search teams.
Announcing the news of Omar, a court official in Djelfa was quoted saying: “Two days ago, on 12 May 2024, the Public Prosecutor’s Office received, through the regional department of the National Gendarmerie in El Jadid, a complaint against an anonymous person claiming that the complainant’s brother, Omar bin Omran, who has been missing for about 30 years, is in the house of one of his neighbours, inside a sheepfold.
“Following this report the General Prosecutor of the Court of Idrisiya in the province of Djelfa ordered the National Gendarmerie to open an in-depth investigation and officers went to the house in question.
“The missing person was found and the suspect, the 61-year-old owner of the house was arrested.
“The Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered that the victim receive medical and psychological treatment, and the suspect will be presented to the Public Prosecutor’s Office immediately after the completion of the investigation.
Officials have promised the ‘perpetrator of this heinous crime’ will be tried with severity.”

Former Russian figure skater Elena Gouliakova, once renowned for her talent and fame, has been spotted living on the streets, looking unrecognizable in recent photos shared on social media.
In the images, Elena is seen wearing a black jacket and hoodie while eating from a disposable plate with a plastic spoon. She now lives on the streets of Monterrey, Mexico, accompanied by a group of dogs.
Elena, who was once a celebrated ice-skating teacher, previously worked with her husband, Nikolay Suetov, coaching at prestigious sports clubs in San Pedro, Monterrey.
The couple were active members of the State Winter Sports Association and the Mexican Federation of Ice Skating and Winter Sports, through which they obtained Mexican citizenship.
Her fame rose during her competitive skating career from 1998 to 2001.

Sharing the photos, a man who spotted her on the streets said: ‘Elena Gouliakova the Russian Trainer re-appears.
“I was walking through the Morelos passage, recognising a face of my childhood.
“If you find her please do not hesitate to offer her a little of your help, and leave a hello, because she is kind, empathetic and loves to be surrounded by people.”
“Elena does not want to receive any kind of help with accommodation, nor to return to the world of figure skating.”
A recent TikTok post has touched the hearts of many as a man, Airboy Kelvin, shared emotional photos marking his graduation journey.

Van Dyke, widely known for his iconic role in The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1966), shared humor and gratitude as he marked this incredible milestone.
Reflecting on a recent incident, Van Dyke recounted being rescued from a fire in Malibu, saying:
“I tried to light 99 candles and set Malibu on fire. I suddenly ran out of gas. I couldn’t stand up. Two guys picked me up and put me in the car.”

Popular TV presenter Fearne Cotton and her husband, Jesse Wood, have announced their split after 10 years of marriage.
The news comes just two days after Fearne underwent surgery to remove two tumors. She shared the announcement on her Instagram page, writing: “It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time.”
Fearne and Jesse share two children together, a son, Rex, and a daughter, Honey. Jesse also has two children from previous relationships.

Popular YouTuber and influencer Gordo Peruci, whose real name is Leovardo Asipuro Soto, and his wife, Brenda Felix, were tragically shot dead in an attack outside their home.
Reports state that on December 9th, around 10 PM, a group of armed men approached the couple outside their residence in Culiacán, north-western Mexico, and opened fire.
Gordo was struck multiple times and died instantly at the scene. Brenda was rushed to the hospital but later died due to her injuries.
The tragic incident leaves their four children without parents. Gordo, known for his comedic content, had recently shared on Instagram that he had left Culiacán to hide out in Cuba after his businesses were allegedly targeted by a criminal gang.
Despite police being called to the scene, no arrests have been made yet.
