Church members flees to rescue as man points gun and shots at pastor during sermon

A video has gone viral showing a shocking incident where a man pulled out a gun on a pastor during a sermon in Glenn, Germany.

As the pastor was preaching to his followers on the altar, the man suddenly appeared and pointed the gun at him. 

Members of the congregation swiftly intervened, tackling the man and disarming him before the pastor came forward to assist them.

Officials identified the gunman as 26-year-old Bernard Polite. Mr Germany escaped with his life because Mr Polite's firearm failed to discharge. After Mr Polite's arrest, police found another man fatally shot at his North Braddock home. The victim was identified as Derek Polite, 56.
