Aziza Cyrus, a 28-year-old gospel singer from Kenya opened up about the challenges he and his wife, Sharon Keuko, face due to their youthful appearance.
Despite being adults, they often experience discrimination in public because of their young looks.

The couple shared how they’ve had to explain their age to others who mistake them as children.
Unfortunately, many people still find it hard to believe them, but a few who know them well have vouched for their adulthood.
How he met his wife, he said to Afrimax: “I met sharon in Kisii county in a hospital where i also went to visit a friend who was at the hospital and unfortunately that friend was a friend to my wife sharon.
“So in that cube, we were sharing stories sharon too came in to see her friend who was also my friend so that process, we chilled and had introduction because we really need to know each other being that we had a common interest after i saw her.”
His wife on her part said: “i met azizi at the hospital i didn’t know at first that they were friends and it surprised me when i found out it happened one day around nine in the morning when the nurses were giving medicine to patients we introduced ourselves to each other but then it was time for me to go after i left i remembered i had forgotten something so i went back to get it that’s when azizi came up to me and whispered that he wanted to tell me something, he asked for my phone number and said he would call me at night.”
“I asked for sharon number because off course she is cute, she also caught my attention as a man, I asked for her number on february 16, 2023 but unfortunately i had not called sharon that day so she called to check as i told her and i was as if she had my number previously, we had a small chat and we did not talk on that very day.” He added
How his parents felt about sharon, she said: “My husband brought me to his parents one day and when we arrived, they were really happy to meet me and made me feel welcome, i felt my love for him even grow that day especially since his family gave us their blessing.
“After that it was time to introduce him to my family, we went to my family house to do just that and we started to plan our wedding everything went smoothly with my family too.”
How they feel when people started mocking them, sharon said: “We got married last december, the wedding was great and we had a lot of support from people after the wedding we went back to our home, however we ran into problem when people started calling us kids even though we are old enough to be married, I am his wife and he is my husband.”
He added: “It was probably because of my look, i think i look like a kid, but unfortunately i’m old enough to get married, although people knew that we were kids when we got married and after our wedding went viral so everyone too was like… you know what they look like kids … are you guys sure these people got wedded but after that we always come out trying to make things clear, explaining to people you know finally we came to realize … you know what, it is all about our life and we decided to keep quiet. those who thought we are kids, sometimes we explain, some would go to a pint and some did not but then we thank God that those ones who got the point at least they explained to our fans that you know what, these guys are grown ups now we thank god where we are now”
