I’m 85 and my wife is 34, she loved me despite my age gap and poverty

A 85 yr old man has gotten people talking as he got married to a 34 yr old woman and now they are together for 17 years and even have 4 children together.

How she met her husband, she said to Afrimax: “The first time I met him, it was through a mutual friend who mentioned there was a man seeking a wife, My husband has previously been married but his previous wives were unable to conceive, as he grew older, he yearned for the experience of parenthood, we met, spoke and they convinced me that i should be with him, he expressed his love for me and i made a promise to stand by him through thick and thin.”

Why he married a younger woman, her husband on his part said: “the reason i married this young woman is because my previous marriages were unsuccessful in producing children… Sadly my first wife and i were unable to conceive and she eventually left on her own leaving me alone, I remarried but my second wife exhibited strange behaviour often waking up in the midnight and running outside while shouting, It was later discovered that she suffered mental illness and we separated.”

Talking about his recent wife, he said: ” I told her I want to have a family and would like to have her as my wife and she replied she would be thinking about it after some time we came to live together even though we are yet to be married legally.. when she came to me, she was pregnant and i was okay to welcome her and her baby… later the man who had impregnated her denied the pregnancy and i took the responsibility and raised that child as mine.”

How they faced critics, he said: “Neighbors had jealous over our simple life even my family at first criticized me for marrying a younger woman but after realizing she was pregnant they were also happy for this particular reason because it proved that she is able to make children and knowing how much i wanted children they bless our union and im grateful we have together had 4 healthy children.”

Hoe she feels about their age difference, she said: “To me age is just a number, the fact that he is older than me i think its normal as a person who had faced many life hardship the age gaps wasn’t among what i considered to be problem despite not having a lot, we are happy with what we have, I found when he was a farmer and we cooperated, it been 17 good years together.”
