There’s nothing wrong marrying someone younger than you- Actress Opeyemi Arike spills
Popular Yoruba actress, Opeyemi Arike Adetunji has talked about age in relationships and marriage.
“I can’t date or have anything to do with every woman’s man. It is a total turn off for me. I love men who are intelligent and good-looking. And yes, I can date a younger lover. There’s nothing wrong in marrying one who is younger than I am, after-all, age is nothing but a number. As long as the feeling is mutual, my happiness and that of my lover is key. I don’t care what people say”. She said
The need to sell myself pushed me into combining acting with producing, because most directors and producers prefer known faces for their jobs. When I am producing a movie and also part of the cast, it is always a difficult task. It is not easy I must confess; you have to be in character, and at the same time on your toes. Another challenge is getting funds, and the industry being filled with unpleasant rivalry. But I am grateful. Life is all about accepting the challenges that come along your way.
Now, everybody wants to know what is going on with me. My social life is also affected. I can’t post just anything or drop any comment on social media. But at the end of the day, I don’t have any regrets. It has been a beautiful journey with lots of lessons
