Plane Crashes Shortly After Takeoff

A small aircraft bound for London has crashed shortly after takeoff at Essex Airport, Netherlands.
According to reports, the plane had ascended to approximately 175 feet before it plummeted back down, crashing into the yard area near the runway. Video footage shared on social media captured thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky, with passengers of nearby flights visibly alarmed as they prepared to board.

Data from Flightradar indicated that the aircraft was scheduled for departure at 3:45 p.m. but took off ten minutes behind schedule.
While the number of people on board the aircraft remains unconfirmed, emergency response teams were quickly deployed to the scene.
Eyewitness John Johnson, who was at the airport with family when the crash occurred, spoke to Sky News, saying: “About three or four seconds after taking off, it started to bank heavily to its left, and then within a few seconds of that happening, it more or less inverted and crashed.
“There was a big fireball. Obviously, everybody was in shock in terms of witnessing it. All the kids saw it and the families saw it.

Another witness told the Metro saying: “It was honestly a surreal experience. The plane took off, then around 50 meters it sort of kicked to the left, then around 100 meters it abruptly banked to the left.
“With that, it basically descended down headfirst and just burst into flames as it hit the ground…It didn’t look like there was time to bail out.
“Luckily, I think my daughter is too young to know what really happened. I feel for the other kids who were there and witnessed it too. It felt like we were in a bad dream.

Tattooist Cries Out as Lady Threatens Legal Action Over Removal of Ex-Boyfriend Name from Her Chest

A tattoo artist has taken to social media to share his ordeal after a client threatened legal action against him for tattooing her ex-boyfriend’s name, “Famous Pablo,” across her chest.
According to the artist, the woman had requested the tattoo while she was still in a relationship with the man. However, following their breakup, she now wants the name removed and is holding the artist responsible.
She said: “This tattoo was done just a few weeks ago — it hasn’t even lasted three months. The client came in asking for a semi-permanent tattoo, and I explained that how long it stays depends on your skin. For some, it can last over a year, for others, less — it varies.”
“She told me she wanted ‘Famous Pablo’ tattooed on her chest — saying it was her man’s name. I went ahead and did the tattoo.”
“But less than three weeks later, she came back demanding I remove it. I told her I couldn’t clean it off because the tattoo is semi-permanent. She then said she and Famous Pablo were having issues, and she no longer wanted the tattoo.”
“I’ve never dealt with something like this before. When I told her I couldn’t remove the tattoo, she started shouting, made phone calls, and said we’d settle the matter in court.”
She added: “Now na her family dey threaten me say make i do the girl body the way e dey be4, say why i go draw tattoo for 18years old 😭 okay I’m i suppose to ask my clients there age be4 service? 😭🙆♀️”

Tourist Has Wholesome Encounter with Mama Bear and Cubs After Chased By Male Bear

A tourist had a surprising yet heartwarming wildlife encounter after a mama bear and her cubs approached him for safety following a confrontation with an aggressive wild boar.
According to wildlife photographer Casey Cooper, who captured the moment on video, the bear and her cubs came within just a few feet of him and his group.

Speaking to What’s The Jam about the rare encounter, Cooper said:“The Alaskan Brown bear brought her cubs over to us after being chased by a big boar on the coast of Alaska.”
“We set up in low tide to view this bear from about 100 yards away.
“From the other side, a boar chased her and her cubs in our direction.
“Making sure not to startle her by standing and moving around, we stayed put.
“I spoke to her calmly throughout the encounter, she continued clamming near us but then carried on with the cubs.
“So we remained calm and let the encounter take its course.

“It’s important to understand this was a coastal brown bear that is used to humans being around, she understands we are not a threat.
“This would have played out differently with a non-habituated bear.”
“If you ever intend on coming to Alaska to see bears on the coast, always hire an experienced guide.
“Never approach bears under any circumstances. This was a unique situation in this region, and I have been around this particular bear and others like her here for over 10 years.

“There is nowhere else in the world I would feel more comfortable being this close to a bear with her cubs.”

Peter Obi Responds to Viral Photo of Him Serving Food at an Event

Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has responded after photos of him serving food at a recent event went viral, sparking mixed reactions online.

While some critics questioned the gesture, others praised him, calling it a sign of humility and leadership by example. In response, Obi took to his official Twitter page to address the attention the photos received.
He wrote:
He wrote: “My weekend activity of serving food at a special event has been generating interest, as expectedly, because leaders in our society have removed the service component in leadership.
It’s sounding strange that I was seen serving food to people. Let me be clear, that event was not about me. It was called the Jubilee of Hope, and its purpose is straightforward, to remind us all that true leadership is service, and that those who have must never forget those who do not.
When I attended the Jubilee of Hope in Imo State, it was a private service event. I did not post about it, nor did I invite media coverage. Unfortunately, some third parties, completely outside of my team, shared photos and videos. As expected, the usual naysayers and paid agents went to work trying to twist something sincere into something political.
But let me restate the heart of the matter, the Jubilee of Hope is designed for the rich to come down from their high places, even if just for a moment, and serve the poor, not as a show, but as a symbol of the society we must build. A society anchored on empathy, equity, and responsibility.
I was not the only one who served that day. Many well-meaning and distinguished Nigerians also participated, people like Cardinal Onaiyekan, Senator Osita Izunaso, former Chairman of Seplat Plc, Dr. A.B.C. Orjiako, and many others, quietly and sincerely. It wasn’t about the cameras; it was about conscience.
I am genuinely surprised that this simple act has become a topic of discussion. As Governor, I always served others whenever we had events. Even now, in private life, I do not have a house help. When guests visit my home, I serve them myself. I live simply, I sweep, I clean, because for me, humility is not a campaign strategy; it is a way of life.
At the Jubilee of Hope, I stayed longer because many of the poor attendees requested that I serve them personally. I could not ignore them. That was the only reason. Otherwise, there was nothing special about what I did. Service is not special, it is expected.
We cannot speak of building a New Nigeria while ignoring the hungry, the forgotten, and the poor. Events like this must not remain symbolic, they must become cultural. Public office holders, business leaders, and everyday citizens must unite in lifting others.
Let us work together to build a country where hope is not seasonal, and dignity is not a privilege, but a right.
A New Nigeria is POssible.

K-pop Singer Moon Taeli Sentenced to 3.5 Years in Prison for R@ping Chinese Tourist

K-pop singer Moon Taeli has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison by a South Korean court for his involvement in the r@pe of a Chinese tourist. The verdict was handed down by District Judge Lee Hyun-kyung in Seoul, who described the case as “severe” due to the deliberate nature of the crime.
According to reports from the New York Post and BBC, Moon Taeli and two other men met the victim at a bar in Itaewon, a district in Seoul known for its vibrant nightlife. The woman became heavily intoxicated after drinking with them. The group then took a taxi to one of the men’s residences, where the assault occurred. The court found that Taeli intentionally moved the victim to a different location to impair her ability to recall the events clearly, increasing the severity of the crime.
Under South Korean law, the offense is classified as both “aggravated rape,” due to it involving multiple perpetrators, and “quasi rape,” because the victim was unconscious at the time of the attack.
In addition to the prison sentence, the court also ordered all three men to complete 40 hours of a treatment program for sexual violence offenders.
Taeli, who is 31 years old, left the K-pop group NCT in August 2024 when the allegations first emerged. His agency, SM Entertainment, subsequently terminated his contract.

Newborn Baby Girl Diagnosed with Microp£nis After Accidental Exposure to Father Testosterone Gel

A baby girl in Sweden has been diagnosed with a rare condition micropenis after being inadvertently exposed to high levels of testosterone during skin-to-skin contact with her father shortly after birth.
According to Swedish medical reports, the incident occurred because the baby’s father was using a testosterone gel to treat low testosterone (hypogonadism). The gel, which is applied topically, is known to pose a risk of transferring the hormone through direct skin contact—especially if the application area has not been covered properly.
Doctors revealed that after the baby was born, her father held her against his skin during bonding time. Unbeknownst to the family, this resulted in the infant being exposed to abnormally high levels of testosterone, which caused her clit-ris to enlarge significantly—a condition resembling a microp-nis.
Concerned by her unusual genital development, the parents took their daughter for medical evaluation. Blood tests confirmed that the baby had elevated testosterone levels, which led doctors to trace the exposure back to her father’s medication.

Barbie Unveils First-Ever Doll with Type 1 Diabetes

Barbie has announced the launch of its first-ever doll with Type 1 Diabetes, furthering the brand’s mission to reflect more inclusive and diverse representations of real-life conditions.

The new doll comes equipped with a glucose monitor and an insulin pump, two medical devices commonly used by people living with Type 1 diabetes to manage their condition. These additions aim to offer children a relatable toy and spark more open conversations about chronic health issues.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, leading to a lifelong need for insulin therapy and blood sugar monitoring.

In a statement, Krista Berger, Senior Vice President of Barbie and Head of Global Dolls at Mattel, shared: “Introducing a Barbie doll with type 1 diabetes marks an important step in our commitment to inclusivity and representation.
“Barbie helps shape children’s early perceptions of the world, and by reflecting medical conditions like Type 1 diabetes, we ensure more kids can see themselves in the stories they imagine and the dolls they love.”
