25-Year-Old Footballer Dies While Trying to Save People from Club Fire

A tragic incident occurred in North Macedonia when 25-year-old footballer Andrej Lazarov lost his life while trying to save others during a devastating nightclub fire.
The fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday at the Pulse Club in Kocani, during a concert that had started around midnight. At approximately 3 a.m., flames rapidly spread through the venue.
Footage shared on social media captured the terrifying moment as fire engulfed the club, while firefighters rushed to contain the blaze.

Reports indicate that the venue had two pyrotechnic stage jets—indoor fireworks commonly used in concerts—which may have contributed to the fire.
According to Skopje-based radio station Lider, eyewitnesses revealed that several people were crushed in the chaos, with most of the victims aged between 14 and 25.
Injured survivors were taken to a local hospital in Kocani, while helicopters transported the more critical cases to hospitals in the capital, Skopje.

Paying tribute to Andrej Lazarov, his club, Macedonian First Football League team FC Shkupi, wrote: “With deep sorrow, we announce that our footballer Andrej Lazarov was among the victims of the tragic fire in Kočani.
“As the heroic person he was, Lazarov lost his life while trying to help others escape the flames.

“During his courageous act, he was overcome by smoke. His bravery and humanity in those final moments will always be remembered.

He Hits me and accuses me of trying to look good for other men—even on our wedding night, I endured domestic violence for 8 years

A woman named Carolyn Shepherd has opened up about the abuse she endured from her ex-husband, Wayne Wellings—even on their wedding night.

According to Carolyn, she spent two years trapped in her own home as Wellings used the family Alexa device to monitor her every move.
She revealed that during their marriage, he forced her to record herself in her hotel room during her bachelorette party to prove she wasn’t with another man. Even on their wedding night, he attacked her out of jealousy after she danced with a gay friend.
The abuse didn’t stop there—she recalled how he crushed her face after she got cosmetic fillers and would spit on her makeup and smash her beauty products, accusing her of trying to look good for other men.

Recalling one of the many times he interrogated her, she said he would demand, “What are you doing? Are you there on your own? Have you got a man in there?”
Through tears, she would respond, “Well, you’d better be.”
As s the violence continued, Carolyn finally decided to put an end to the abuse. Her ex-husband, Wayne Wellings, was arrested and later sentenced to five years in prison at Liverpool Crown Court after being convicted of assault and coercive control.
Speaking about her experience, Carolyn described the torment she endured throughout their relationship: “He was very intense, from the start, and wanted us to be together all the time.
“But I was flattered, I thought he really loved me. I was ready to settle down and he seemed like the perfect man.
“The first night we moved into our new home, Wayne attacked me because he was drunk. He rubbed my face in the dog’s bowl and told me I was fat and I was a dog.
“I felt so ashamed, I couldn’t bear to tell anyone.
“I’d borrowed money from my family to move into the house. And that set the pattern for the next eight years – I just kept quiet no matter what he did.

“Wayne was abusive almost every day. He’d spit on me and rub his hand in my face to mess up my make up. He pulled out my hair extensions. He said I was a slut.
“I had lip filler sometimes and he’d squash my lips until they burst which was agony.
“He’d raise his hand and then laugh when I flinched, thinking he was going to hit me.”
“I had a quiet hen do, a night away in Essex with two friends, but Wayne harassed me all night and made me video the hotel room to make sure there were no men in there.
“On our wedding day he got drunk and vanished, and I had to do our last dance with a gay pal.
“Wayne went ballistic and attacked me on our wedding night, squeezing me round my throat.
“He told me I deserved it and by now, I believed it. I thought I was completely worthless.”
“He locked me in the house when he went to work, and if we had a delivery, I had to open the window
I couldn’t go out because I had no keys. I was trapped.
“He monitored me through the Alexa which was downstairs. He’d dial in and listen silently, even though I could hear the noise from his workplace in the background.”
“When I asked him about it, he’d say I was imagining it, trying to make me think I was going mad,” she says.
“It was his way of checking up on me every day and he did it for nearly two years.
“Sometimes, he’d dial in and shout down the Alexa, to make sure I was at home, and I was alone.
“If I ever didn’t pick up his call or reply to a text message, he immediately dialled straight into the Alexa because he suspected I was being unfaithful, which was never the case.
“I felt like I couldn’t breathe in my own house, because there was always that feeling that he was tracking me, dialling in and following every move I made.”
Carolyn stated that when her mother finally found out about the abuse, she promised to help her escape. However, every time she tried to leave, her ex-husband would threaten to kill her, trapping her in a cycle of fear and control.
She added, ‘“By now, my mum was calling me every day to make sure I was OK. She begged me to get help.
“I left him a few times, but he’d threaten to kill me, or my mum, and so I always went back. I was trapped.”
“I took a work message from a male colleague and Wayne accused me of flirting. He went ballistic, pulling a curtain pole down and beating me.
“My mum turned up and something clicked. I realised enough was enough.”
“I used to stay quiet, even when he was attacking me, because I felt that was best.
“Now I realize that finding my voice is the best thing I’ve ever done.
“I’m back at work, raising my children, and really enjoying my life.”
I am so relieved he’s behind bars. I now have chance to look to the future. I’m back at work, I’m enjoying raising my sons, and life is better than it’s ever been.
“For eight long and lonely years, I stayed quiet, because I felt that was best. Now I realize that finding my voice is the best thing I’ve ever done.
“I only hope my story can be a lesson to someone else. Please speak out and get help. Silence is not the answer.”

Man Accidentally Shot by His Dog While Lying in Bed with Girlfriend

A bizarre and tragic incident occurred in Memphis, United States, when a man was accidentally shot—by his own dog.
According to reports from Fox 13, the dog, named Oreo, unintentionally fired the gun.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. when the man and his girlfriend were lying in bed. A loaded gun was also on the bed when Oreo jumped up to join them. As he landed, his paw accidentally hit the trigger, causing the gun to fire and strike the man in the thigh.
“The dog is a playful dog, and he likes to jump around and stuff like that, and it just went off,” the man’s girlfriend explained in an interview with Fox 13.
During the interview, FOX13’s Dominique Dillon asked, “So, did the dog jumping on the bed wake you up, or was it the gunshot?”
She responded with a laugh, saying, “The gunshot. Yeah, a combination of the two.”
Offering advice to other pet owners, she added, “Keep the safety on or use a trigger lock.”
Police have classified the incident as an accidental injury. Fortunately, the man is expected to be okay.

Nigerian Woman Declared Dead in 2019 Appears in Court to Reclaim £350K Estate Stolen by Scammer

A Nigerian woman who was wrongly declared dead in February 2019 has taken a fraudster to court after he attempted to seize her £350,000 home in London.
The woman, June Ashimola, appeared before High Court Judge John Linwood to confirm that she is very much alive. She explained that when her death was falsely declared, she had been the victim of a scam.

The court heard that Ms. Ashimola brought the case after learning that a Power of Attorney over her estate—mainly consisting of her London home—had been granted to associates of a convicted fraudster, Tony Ashikodi.
The issue reportedly began when Ms. Ashimola moved from Nigeria to London in 2018 and had not returned since. Then, in October 2022, Power of Attorney over her estate was granted to Ruth Samuel and a man named Bakare Lasisi, who claimed to have married her in 1993.
However, after investigating the case, the court discovered that Ms. Ashimola had been the victim of fraud—and that Bakare Lasisi never even existed.
The fraudsters had also presented a fake death certificate, falsely claiming that Ms. Ashimola had died in Nigeria in 2019 without leaving a will. At one point, it was even argued that any sightings of Ms. Ashimola were simply someone impersonating her since she had supposedly passed away in 2018.
In court, Ms. Ashimola firmly stated that she had never died, that the death certificate was fraudulent, and that the Power of Attorney over her estate had been obtained illegally.
In a statement to the case, Deputy master Linwood said: “This is an unusual probate claim in that the deceased says she is very much alive,
“The root of this claim is a long running battle or campaign waged by a Mr Tony Ashikodi for control and/or ownership of the Property.
“Ms Ashimola left the UK for Nigeria in about October 2018 and has not returned since. This claim involves wide-ranging allegations of fraud, forgery, impersonation and intimidation.”
Deputy Master Linwood noted that the judge’s frustration stemmed from the fact that Ms. Ashimola was unable to attend the court in person due to visa issues, which made the evidence appear “unsatisfactory.”
However, he stated that he believed Ms. Ashimola was indeed who she claimed to be and was telling the truth, especially after being shown photos from her passports.
After hearing the Evidence of Mr. Ashikodi, who had previously been jailed for three years in 1996 for obtaining property by deception.
He added: “I find Ms Ashimola is alive and that the Death Certificate was forged and/or fraudulently obtained or produced or concocted,’ he said.
“Her alleged death was part of Mr Tony Ashikodi’s attempts to wrest control of the property from her.
“The person who appeared before me and identified herself as Ms Ashimola was physically like her photographs in each passport.
‘” find that Ms Ashimola was not married to Mr Lasisi and that the marriage certificate is a concocted or fraudulent document for these reasons.
“I do not accept Mr Lasisi exists or if he does is aware of his identity being used. I do not accept that emails supposedly from him were actually from him.
“I find that the probate power of attorney submitted supposedly by Mr Lasisi and Ms Samuel was a fraudulently produced or concocted document.
“The death certificate was not proven to the necessary standard in that only a copy was produced. The provenance was unknown. There was no evidence before me that it was a genuine document evidencing a real event.
“I find it was forged and/or fraudulently produced or concocted. The persons who relied upon it namely Mr Tony Ashikodi and Ms Samuel were either directly involved in its production or else knew it was false.”
