I have always wanted to be Barbie all my life because she Inspired me a lot
Marcela has revealed that she has spent $100,000 transforming herself into a real-life Barbie.
She shared that her transformation involved Botox, fillers, injections, surgeries, tanning, and extensive hair and makeup.
Marcela explained that she has always admired Barbie, describing the doll as her idol and inspiration.
“All my life, I’ve tried to look like a doll. Barbie has always inspired me because of their motto: ‘You can be anything you want to be.’ When I came to America 25 years ago, I had a dream, and I made that dream happen because I truly believe you can be anything you want,” she said.
Marcela’s journey began in 2012 with Botox, and she estimates that she has spent $100,000 on various procedures since then. Her first major cosmetic surgery was a breast augmentation in 2022. Reflecting on her transformation, she said, “”My first procedure was in 2012 i have botox and roughly i have spent botox, fillers, injections, surgeries, tanning, hair and makeup around $100k my big first cosmetic surgery was my breast which i have done in 2022 and when i look at the best version of myself.”
She also shared a personal reason behind her Barbie obsession. “The reason that i wanted to emulate the barbie doll is because my mother never bought me a barbie doll she disliked the doll and i love the aesthetics of the doll so i wanted to look like her not because i wasn’t secure about i perceived the doll aesthetically.”
When addressing critics, Marcela admitted it was initially challenging to deal with negative comments. “People would say, ‘You look ugly,’ ‘You look awful,’ ‘You look old,’ ‘You don’t look like Barbie,’ or ‘You look like a plastic doll.’ Which was like oh that’s great I look like a plastic doll yeah that is not an insult and it took me like a while to process the bad comments that people are going to be mean no matter what so after i understood that it’s like who cares i mean i’m not going to pay attention anymore i just want to be happy and i don’t care what other people have to think.”

We are trying to have our baby- Former Prison worker who Married Inmate Speaks
A former prison worker who fell in love with an inmate has shared her plans to have a baby with him, despite his being jailed for murder.
The woman, Larissa King from Canada, met her now-husband, Ryan King, in 2020 while working in the prison kitchen where he was assigned. After a year, she left her job and enrolled in university to train to become a probation officer.
Initially, Larissa wanted to reach out to the prisoners to discuss measures that could help them readjust into society upon release and that time she remembered Ryan who was also serving a 15yr jail term and during those time, they both began started writing letters to themselves before they started talking on the phone before things became romantic.
She said: “We wrote a couple of times and then I gave him my phone number because I thought it would be easier that way and then we started talking on the phone maybe once a week,’ she explained recently.
“It was very limited and then that turned to twice a week, three times a week, every day, multiple times a day.
“When we really started talking on the phone it was the end of 2021, I’d say around November and then by February I knew I loved this man.
“I actually spoke to a therapist to understand my feelings. Like why is this happening? Is this real?’ she recalled.
“I was very confused and my therapist was like it seems like it was just an unconventional meeting but it seems like your feelings are valid.
After a year of dating, Larissa went to the prison to meet Ryan in person for the first time. To her surprise, he proposed to her during the visit.
“I thought I was going to puke,’ she said of the moment he got down on one knee.
“We’re talking and we were sitting at this table with two chairs right by a window – a nice scenic background of barbed chain link fence and there was a playground there
“He asked me to get up so he could see my outfit. He made me do a twirl. When I came back around he was on his knee with a fake ring.
“Obviously there was nothing in his hand because he can’t bring anything into the visiting center.
Larissa also revealed that Ryan’s mother gave her money from his account to help her afford to buy a ring.
After tying the knot in March 2023, the couple revealed that they are now trying to have a baby.
Larissa also opened up about how nervous she felt when she and her husband were alone together, sharing that they had never been intimate before.
She said: “I was so nervous for the first time we were alone together.
“We had never been intimate at all. The most we’d had was light kisses in the visitors center.
“It was difficult to wait that long. But it was worth the wait. It was nice to have that important time together.
According to Larissa, she has a condition called AMH, which means her ovaries produce fewer eggs, making it difficult for her to get pregnant.
Talking on how people questioned their relationship including her family members, she said: “It’s a very weird concept that I don’t think a lot of people understand and I know even some of my family members questioned it,’ she revealed.
“I was always very forthcoming with them. My mom is coming around, she’s spoken to him a couple of times. My dad and my stepmom were supportive from the get-go.
“Some loved ones have stepped away from my life because [they] are uncomfortable with my husband’s charges and I’ve always said I would never force my relationship on any of them… it’s not for everybody and I understand that.
“Hopefully we can reconnect eventually. It was a little premature that they axed us because my husband is still incarcerated.”

I’m not ashamed of my face, It does not make me look different from others
Leidy Ardila, a 29-year-old woman from Colombia, has shared her experience living with fibrous dysplasia, a rare bone disorder where fibrous tissue replaces normal bone.
In an interview with Truly, Leidy explained that her condition doesn’t make her feel any different from others, nor does it stop her from showing her face openly.
Leidy shared that her health issues began after heart surgery as a baby, with doctors warning her mother that she might never walk again.
By the time she was just three years old, signs of the bone disorder began to appear.
“I was born normal but had a heart murmur,” she explained. “I had to have surgery and the surgery was a complete success but they used alot of steroids and that started my disease, The steroids damaged my Pituitary glands and now i have more calcium in the upper part of my body than the lower part.”
She described her condition as a “silent disease,” explaining, “It keeps destroying you without you realizing it. It stops for a while, then suddenly starts growing again, causing new deformities.”
Her mother, Mateleth, recalled the difficulty they faced upon learning of Leidy’s rare disorder, saying, “A doctor told me my daughter had a disease that almost nobody else in the world has.” Her father, Alejandro, added, “We were told there is no cure for Leidy and they said our daughter will not live beyond the age of 12 and of course the impact was tremendous at such a time you shall feel very small so we kept on living with the constant shadow above us”
When she’s in public, Leidy often faces stares and reactions from others. “When other people are around it is obvious that people are looking at me especially when they see you their surprised stares or something like that because it is not normal it is always like “wow” I have had times when i felt really uncomfortable because of people’s looks the acceptance process was long.”
Leidy has since embraced herself, saying, “I have accepted myself as i am but i think I will always have some hangups.”
Reflecting on sharing her journey on social media, Leidy said, “I was afraid of being criticised i was worried about what people would say because it is hard for anyone to put themselves out there and especially hard as i am i have gained a-lot of followers and i have also experienced the meaner side of it i have had some really harsh comments”
Leidy uses her platform to inspire others with similar struggles, encouraging people to look beyond appearances. “I do it with the intention to inspire people that have alot of complexes It was to show that our condition dont matter, it doesnt matter how we look like we have to keep going in life.
“Having a facial deformity doesn’t make me much different for other people I have proved to myself that i can do it I think beauty is more than what is on the outside, when i look at the mirror i see a fighter, a warrior and someone facing forward, someone that has dreams.”

My husband is 29yrs older than me, People think I got married to him because of his money
Alyssa, a 30-year-old woman married to a man 29 years her senior, recently opened up about how people view their relationship due to the age difference.
She revealed that she met her husband, Mark, when he was 59 and she was 23, after they connected on social media and began talking daily. A week later, they met in person.
While Alyssa’s small family accepted the relationship, Mark’s family had a harder time. She explained to Whatsthejam, “My family is very small and he wasn’t my first large age gap relationship so no one was phased,” she said to whatsthejam
“But his family was an entirely different story.
“They made all these assumptions about me and my intentions in our relationship.
“The same presumptions that are always made and will often be made based solely on our age difference.
“Over time they got to know me and I know once they spoke to me and spent time with me they realized I wasn’t some kind of gold digger or bimbo.
Mark, who has two adult children (25 and 27) from his previous marriage, married Alyssa, and they now have two kids together, Ziya (11) and Mel (17). Alyssa mentioned that Mark’s ex-wife and older children saw how deeply she cared for his youngest daughter, which helped them accept her.
She added: “His ex-wife and his older kids saw how deeply I cared for his youngest.
“Once you see someone love your little sister or daughter as their own I imagine it’s hard to paint them as some sort of vapid selfish monster.”
Regarding public criticism, Alyssa said, “Criticism and judgment from society has never bothered me because I found very early on that happy people don’t judge.
“The people who spew hate or shoot dirty looks are often being triggered by something that they lack or hate in themselves.
“For example; someone who is personally angered by seeing my husband and I out for dinner together is either unhappily single or in a relationship that they hate.
“Misery enjoys company and I’d be damned if I let them have mine.”
