At least 20 individuals have been killed and over twelve harmed in a rush during a chapel gathering at an arena in northern Tanzania, an administration official said on Sunday.
Several individuals pressed an arena on Saturday evening in Moshi town close to the inclines of Mount Kilimanjaro and squashed each other as they hurried to get blessed with “favored oil”.
“Twenty individuals passed on and 16 others were harmed in the occurrence,” Moshi area chief Kippi Warioba told Reuters by phone. Five of those murdered were kids, he said.
“The charge happened when the admirers were hurrying to get blessed with favored oil,” Warioba said.
